MARCH SYNOPSIS IN PICTURES

Our meeting on 20th March 2014 featured four speakers and a presentation on TI's revitalised program by Jenny Au from Toa Payoh CC TMC.

P1 The Icebreaker: We had new member Dilya presenting her ice-breaker speech: "My first job in Singapore" .

P4 How to Say It: 2nd speaker Geri Kan enthralled us with her entertaining speech about an unforgettable journey with her "kids" to a faraway place on the other side of the planet!

Attempting AP5 from the Humorously Speaking manual, Advanced speaker Vera Wee is all dressed up to conquer the distance while chasing after hunky handsome young men!
In her speech, she opines that marriage is like a marathon!

A big thank you to our evaluators for adding vitality and verve to our meeting through their insightful feedback

Project Evaluators: Oh Hock Cheong from Bishan TMC, Division Governor Annabelle, Jenny Au from Toa Payoh CC, Andrina Chan from NUSS and Language Evaluator Khoo Kok Peng from Brilliant Advanced TMC

In a twist to Table Topics, the audience were given a scenario about grandpa's 80th birthday party and how they would react if certain situation arises. Jo won the Best Table Topics Ribbon for responding calmly by telling us how he would just whip out his Iphone and start taking photos of everyone if the professional camera man failed to turn up.

And the best Speaker for the evening was... Geri!

Oh Hock Cheong from Bishan TMC was voted the Best Evaluator for the evening. Congrats!

We concluded on a happy note with thumbs up for Katong Toastmasters Club!
