We used to meet every 3rd Thursday of the month, 7 - 9.45pm at Katong Community Centre, Level 3, Room 303. 

 Guests are always welcome at our meeting!  Just contact Joni at 97723643 or drop us an email at katong.toastmasters@gmail.com at least one day in advance, if you wish to attend our online meetings.

Katong Community Centre is located 51 Kampong Arang Road, Singapore 438178. 

Buses 12, 14, 30, 158, 196 travel along Mountbatten road and Katong Community Centre is 10 minutes walk from the Mountbatten MRT Station.


Landmarks around Katong Toastmasters Club are McDonald’s Kallang, Long Beach Seafood, Katong Swimming Complex, Etonhouse Pre-School and 4 Jalan Batu Wet Market (beside SPC and ESSO petrol kiosk) – listed in the map below.

As part of our community outreach, from time to time we may have meetings at Tanjong Rhu RC, located next to Katong Community Centre.

SYNOPSIS FOR CHAPTER MEETING 21 JUNE 2012 Malcolm kicked off the meeting by asking what was everyone's favourite seafood. Some love salmon sushimi (Lynn), some are lobster lovers, prawn lovers (Joni, Benjamin Gan, James, Roann), others crave oysters (Brian), salted-egg crab (Seh Leng, Abraham) and chilli crab (Shahnawaz). In her Opening Address, outgoing President Ida encouraged us to "talk the talk and walk the walk", to step out and reach out to others when the situation requires it. Leadership is action in progress. She shared an insightful mathematical equation: " 2Get and 2Give creates many problems. Just double it... 4Get & 4Give solves many problems.
